Our Bachelor of Arts (Hons) with degree-granting options: Animation or Graphic and Digital Design or Fashion with Promotion or Film and Digital Video is designed to give students interested in Art and Design the opportunity to study various subject areas before choosing a specialized field, to pursue the career of your dreams.
Having a passion for art and design can turn into a highly successful career in a wide range of creative industries. But often the question is’ What area do I want to devote my creative energies to? What is what really excites me? This degree course is your chance to find the answers.
Our common entry program gives you the opportunity to take modules in Animation, Digital Film and Video, Graphic and Digital Design, Promotional Fashion, as well as core modules in Art and Design, before choosing your area of specialization of interest in the Degree. 8.
It’s an opportunity for you to turn your artistic talents into a successful creative career, and our small studio classes feature the latest technologies to support design-based creative thinking and the acquisition of basic business skills.

Admission requirements
Minimum entry requirements:
- Exit certificate
- Minimum six O6 / H7
- English or Irish O6 / H7
- At least two H5
- Art O6 / H7 or Portfolio
Special requirements
C Art or Design or Portfolio.
This program requires the applicant to have studied art or design on the certificate of completion or, if they did not study art or design on the certificate of completion, they can be evaluated by portfolio. Click here for more information on the portfolio.
