The BA in Ecology and Environmental Biology is the only one of its kind in Ireland. The course was established in response to growing awareness of environmental and wildlife issues. It is the study of the interactions between animals, plants and microbes and their environment. It includes the study of how individual organisms interact in communities and how communities interact with the surrounding ecosystem.

Program description

The Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology equips students with skills that enables you to work in many different fields in Ireland and abroad, such as:

Admission requirements

  • As a general requirement, a Bachelor’s Degree / High School Diploma / General Baccalaureate / Professional Degree in a university is required recognized, with subjects in mathematics and laboratory science.
  • For international candidates, the foreign equivalent is required. In addition, an officially translated degree will be required.
  • IELTS 6.5, with no less than 6 in any component (or its internationally recognized equivalent)
