The Graduate Diploma of Arts in International Law offers students advanced and specialized legal training that qualifies them to work in a multinational legal environment. Students may specialize in international law (general), international business law, or international human rights law, depending on their elective options.

Academic progression

Students who successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma of Arts in International Law, International Business Law, or International Human Rights Law may advance to the LL.M. Program. by conducting a 20,000 word dissertation in a relevant area.

Career progression

Students who want to specialize in an area of law within a law firm or practice in the Bar Association often choose a graduate degree to gain sufficient knowledge in that area. More and more, companies are dealing with international markets and, for this reason, the Postgraduate Course in International Commercial Law is very popular among lawyers in this area.

Program structure

The student will complete six subjects. In the first semester, the student will complete three compulsory subjects and in the second semester, they will choose three electives.

Admission requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws or a related discipline (having a 50% legal component in the degree) or equivalent or relevant work experience abroad .
  • For international candidates, the foreign equivalent is required. In addition, an officially translated degree will be required.
  • If English is not your mother tongue, you must show that your level of English is at an adequate level, that is, a minimum of 7.0 IELTS or equivalent.
