The Master of Business and Entrepreneurship is an exciting one-year program dedicated to transforming Science, Engineering, Social Science and Technology graduates into leaders who will guide and create the businesses of the world. Tomorrow (Note: Business graduates or those with a substantial business component to their undergraduate degree are not eligible for this program). His goal is to accomplish this by providing participants with the insight to successfully translate ideas and innovations into business practice. In doing so, it addresses Ireland’s need to stay competitive by cultivating entrepreneurial and cross-functional graduates. This program builds on the unique capabilities and reputation of the Dublin Institute of Technology, which was founded from the merger of Ireland’s oldest and most successful universities of technology and business.

The program provides participants with the skills and guidance for business start-ups, either in an existing business or as a new business. Graduates will have better career prospects for a wide range of positions in Irish and international companies.

Together, participants engage in the initial stages of work on two separate substantive elements of the program within a seminar / workshop format:

  1. the product development project and business development plan
  2. the dissertation

Work also continues on the product development project and business development plan, with support available through weekly group sessions with module advisors during the 12 weeks of semester class. The participants then work on their own until the presentation of the joint project / plan document in early September.

Admission requirements

  • Grading scale.
  • Grade / End date (in both original and translated language). Bachelor of Science, Engineering, Technology or Social Sciences (2H2 or higher) from an Irish tertiary institution or its equivalent from a foreign university Transcripts for each year of study (both in original language and translated).
  • English Proficiency Test / Exam Date: If English is not your first language, you will need to provide evidence of your English proficiency as detailed on our website. Applicants for this program must have a minimum proficiency in English IELTS (academic version) of 6.5 overall (or equivalent) with at least a 6 in each component.
