The career prospects for MBS (Management Stream) graduates are excellent, with over 90% of our graduates obtaining a job within six months of completion program (recent survey conducted by the school in partnership with Careers Center). Graduates of the program are employed in roles such as operations management, team leadership, continuous improvement, supply chain management and logistics at companies such as Eirgen Pharma, NearForm, HSBC Global Banking, Nypro Healthcare, Sanofi, Taxback International, TELUS International , Wells Fargo, Facebook, Lake Region Medical, TSSG and Glanbia.
In addition to academic content, the course also includes elements designed to provide practical work experience and develop professional skills. As part of the program, students have access to the WIT Career Management Center and work closely with career advisors to support them in professional development from initial self-assessment to job search and beyond.
Students benefit from a series of personalized seminars that brings together guest keynote speakers from a wide range of business and public policy organizations, so students have the opportunity to learn from the leading professionals in the industry. Past MBS students have benefited from these close ties to the industry and many of our partner organizations have been pleased to consider our students for the first jobs alongside more experienced applicants.
The course also incorporates a series of professional development workshops (including a day-long team development event at induction, an international study tour, and a training event). ‘Dragons Den’ competition) throughout the year to expand students’ communication and presentation skills, enhance self-awareness, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity, and enable graduates to function effectively in organizations upon graduation. A graduate can also apply for more Level 10 postgraduate studies, such as a PhD by Research at WIT or other third-level institutions, either nationally or internationally.
