Most of the innovations in the automotive sector have been based on electronics and software. Developments such as mobility services, autonomous driving or automated driving, networks, infotainment and electric mobility contribute significantly to the industry. With the number of software-controlled functions in an automatic car, its IT architecture is also shifting towards high-speed virtual mainframes. Our goal is to provide students with the maximum in cutting-edge technology that will allow them to work and innovate in the automotive field and in any other business field available in the current market.

In this Software Engineering (M.Sc.) program, students not only learn current challenges in software architecture and design, but are also taught how to develop solutions to these challenges. They will also learn about emerging trends in pattern recognition and vehicle technologies. Students will learn to build software and design and implement intelligent software using cloud computing and machine learning. Subject areas specifically considered in this degree program include:

  • Advanced software design and analysis technology
  • Processing of large amounts of data
  • Vehicle technologies, including sensors and networks.
  • Intelligent systems and decision-making systems
  • The creation of parallel computing or distributed software (Internet of things, mobile applications)
  • Precognition of patterns to detect objects to be used in intelligent systems and autonomous driving
  • The creation and maintenance of complex software products.
  • Security and reliability issues
  • The transition and operation of software products.

Each course is taught by an industry expert on the subject. Teaching methods include classroom learning practices and group work; class sizes are kept small to facilitate interaction and promote effective learning. Each subject is taught at least once a year (and some are taught twice) and most can be studied in any order; This helps provide the kind of flexibility that students with existing commitments require.

Study in the EU in Germany

We emphasize internationality. That is why we rank among the top 25 in student mobility and international orientation worldwide (U-Multirank 2018). Our many international students come from all over the world to obtain a highly valued German qualification (recognized by the state and ZEvA) which is taught entirely in English.

Germany, known as the land of innovators, is the perfect place to earn your degree. Germany is a particularly safe and livable country with relatively low tuition fees and affordable living costs.

That is why we encourage international students to come here and study with us. You can apply with your national school degree now. We will then review your application and guide you through the process.

Tuition and funding fees

As a private university, we are not funded by the state, but by tuition fees. Therefore, studying at the European University of Applied Sciences (EU) costs more than at a public university. But it’s worth it: EU graduates meet the essential requirements of design majors, and this sets them apart from graduates of many public universities.

All costs are included in the monthly tuition.

No additional costs such as tuition fees, exam fees, bachelor thesis fees or the like will be incurred as long as the course is completed within the standard study period.

The costs of the semester abroad are not included in these fees, since there are substantial differences depending on the country and the university.

Admission requirements

Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for a master’s program:

  • Sc. Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Engineering, Business Computer Science, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming.
  • Business professionals (in part. Master of 60 ECTS)
  • 2nd Master to extend degree
