The BSc (Hons) in Construction Management & amp; Engineering is a four-year course that prepares graduates for a career as professional construction managers and engineers in the Irish and global construction industry.

Each student is required to complete a 30-week paid industrial placement with a construction company in the second term (February through September) of the third year. The companies include general civil engineering, construction and residential property contractors, project management companies, specialty contractors, engineering design offices, and materials manufacturers.

The CME program prepares students for a variety of exciting career opportunities in engineering and project management roles throughout the global construction industry . Many of our graduates work with some of the best Irish and international construction companies including: Turner Construction, John Sisk & amp; They are BAM Contractors, Clancy Construction, PM Group, Duggan Brothers, PJ Hegarty, Walls Construction, McLaren Construction, Laing O ‘Rourke, Murphy Group, JT Magen, Reidy Contracting Group and Bennett Construction, among others.

Workstation

Students are required to complete a 7-month Industrial Placement during year 3 of the program. Gaining hands-on experience in the construction industry is critical for students to develop an understanding of the complexity of construction and civil engineering projects.

WIT arranges placement with great companies on exciting projects in Ireland, the UK, New York City and beyond. In many cases, the placement leads to full-time employment upon graduation.

Admission requirements

Applicants who are not citizens of the EU member states, nor have resided for full-time undergraduate study courses in Ireland should apply directly to the International Office at WIT. Applications will be accepted until May 31 of each year for programs that begin the following September. Overdue applications will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
