En el programa orientado a la práctica (BA) Film + Motion Design, conocerá métodos, conceptos y técnicas fundamentales para el diseño de medios basados ​​en el tiempo. Study contents – semesters abroad, internships and more

This program is divided into several modules. In the foundational modules, we will first teach you the basic principles and techniques of artistic craft, such as animation, storytelling, cinematography, sound design, 3D design, editing, post-production, and digital composition.

Once you have learned them, you will be able to develop your own specializations in elective modules. You will create experimental music videos, animated films and short films. You will also design motion graphics, animated logos, explanatory videos or multimedia space installations.

The theoretical element will cover important historical and contemporary developments in art, film, photography, and design. In the fifth semester, you will have the opportunity to put your newly acquired design skills to the test in practice through an internship or semester abroad.

The future-oriented and work-oriented interdisciplinary and international concept of the university and Bachelor of Motion Picture + Motion Design prepares you for the first step into the media industry, where both design skills and a growing network count. . In the course of your studies, you create a comprehensive and versatile portfolio, which includes projects with cooperative partners from culture, research and business.

Career opportunities

With the focus on time-based design, the Motion Picture Design course prepares you for a variety of current and future professions in the fields of film, animation, design, set design, and multimedia art. Your career opportunities are as varied as the media landscape itself.

After graduation, he is expected to have a wide range of interdisciplinary skills as a motion designer, digital designer, or movie designer. You will be employed or self-employed for agencies, television stations, film or game productions, in the entertainment industry, the liberal arts, advertising or knowledge transfer, in the production of museum media, fairs, theaters and event venues.

Tuition and funding fees

As a private university, we are not funded by the state, but by tuition fees. Therefore, studying at the European University of Applied Sciences (EU) costs more than at a public university. But it’s worth it: EU graduates meet the essential requirements of design majors, and this sets them apart from graduates of many public universities.

All costs are included in the monthly tuition.

No additional costs such as tuition fees, exam fees, bachelor thesis fees or the like will be incurred as long as the course is completed within the standard study period.

The costs of the semester abroad are not included in these fees, since there are substantial differences depending on the country and the university.

Admission requirements

Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for a bachelor’s program:

• High school diploma or equivalent occupational diploma, incl. experience
• Entrance exam
• Personal interview
• IELTS: overall band score of 5.5

There is no limit to the number of students that can be admitted (numerus clausus).
