The Master of Creative Computing is a graduate course that focuses on the importance of data and coding in digital design and computational art. The program emphasizes an understanding and integration of data technologies based on research and criticism. Students will assess its usefulness in mediating human experiences in digital ecosystems and creative processes that drive socially meaningful outcomes that address pressing issues.

The program is a practice-led course that covers data visualization and generative design and how the two operate synergistically in business applications, such as the design of data-driven interfaces, dashboards, and their role in DaaS (desktop as a service. ) and SaaS. (Software as a service) platforms. In addition to the business realm, creative technology skills provide a world of opportunities for students to develop their own computer-driven art and design practices.

This master’s program develops tough skills like data processing and analysis, code, and interactive object-based design. Critical and speculative design approaches will be covered to increase student confidence to develop incisive and future applications. Project-oriented modules will allow students to develop creative, data-driven results in response to real-world and speculative summaries. The theory-oriented modules will focus on the relationship between technology and culture to provide an understanding of the societal needs that drive technological innovation and, fundamentally, an understanding of how technology can be harnessed for social good to solve problems. urgent social

Interdisciplinary courses, projects and more

Graduates of the Master of Creative Computing are uniquely positioned to fill a number of niche positions in design culture, both commercial and artistic. Data visualization is one of the most advanced design specialties out there today.

There is a growing demand for user interface designers who can integrate data pipelines into generative components of application interfaces. This demand will only increase in the future due to the pervasive nature of data ecosystems and the increased time we spend on mobile devices. Graduates of the program will be in a unique position to capitalize on this need in the industry.

At the European University of Applied Sciences (EU), you will have the unique opportunity to bring your design skills to a vibrant multicultural and interdisciplinary environment.

Career opportunities

Graduates with information and data visualization skills will be equipped to fill positions that specialize in this field, serving clients from private companies to the media.

Information visualization skills are also highly praised in journalism, multinational companies, and social development agencies. Generative coding skills are at the forefront of visual design and graduates often hold positions in advertising agencies, specialized digital studios, and the film industry.

Study in the EU in Germany

We emphasize internationality. That is why we rank among the top 25 in student mobility and international orientation worldwide (U-Multirank 2018). Our many international students come from all over the world to obtain a highly valued German qualification (recognized by the state and ZEvA) which is taught entirely in English.

Germany, known as the land of innovators, is the perfect place to earn your degree. Germany is a particularly safe and livable country with relatively low tuition fees and affordable living costs.

That is why we encourage international students to come here and study with us. You can apply with your national school degree now. We will then review your application and guide you through the process.

Tuition and funding fees

As a private university, we are not funded by the state, but by tuition fees. Therefore, studying at the European University of Applied Sciences (EU) costs more than at a public university. But it’s worth it: EU graduates meet the essential requirements of design majors, and this sets them apart from graduates of many public universities.

All costs are included in the monthly tuition.

No additional costs such as tuition fees, exam fees, bachelor thesis fees or the like will be incurred as long as the course is completed within the standard study period.

The costs of the semester abroad are not included in these fees, since there are substantial differences depending on the country and the university.

Admission requirements
