Our goals are to develop the next generation of software engineering specialists. Students develop solutions and computer programs to activate computer game interaction to build high-quality 2D and 3D games. They will also collaborate on projects with other game developers and artists to create a commercially viable game from concept to live prototype.

In this software engineering program, students not only learn about current challenges and solutions in software architecture and design, but are also taught to develop solutions that are based on clean and secure professional code and to know the new trend in mobile application development. Students will be able to build software and design and implement intelligent software benefiting from the learning outcomes of cloud computing and machine learning. Subject areas considered in this degree program include:

  • Advanced software design and analysis technology
  • Process large amounts of data and learn to work with big data
  • Learn the principle and tools of game design.
  • Get the experience to develop 2D and 3D software
  • Working with data analysis tools and techniques
  • Able to write professional clean code software
  • Learn the principle and tools of game design.
  • Acquire the experience to integrate Artificial Intelligence techniques in software development.
  • Able to learn and work under agile methodology and know the principles of project management.
  • Develop mobile app applications using state-of-the-art facilities
  • Master the creation and maintenance of complex software products.

Each course is taught by an industry expert through a series of teaching methods including lectures, practicals, and group work. Class sizes are kept small to facilitate interaction and promote effective learning. Each subject is taught at least once a year (some are taught twice) and most can be studied in any order; This helps provide the kind of flexibility that students with existing commitments require.

Study in the EU in Germany

We emphasize internationality. That is why we rank among the top 25 in student mobility and international orientation worldwide (U-Multirank 2018). Our many international students come from all over the world to obtain a highly valued German qualification (recognized by the state and ZEvA) which is taught entirely in English.

Germany, known as the land of innovators, is the perfect place to earn your degree. Germany is a particularly safe and livable country with relatively low tuition fees and affordable living costs.

That is why we encourage international students to come here and study with us. You can apply with your national school degree now. We will then review your application and guide you through the process.

Tuition and funding fees

As a private university, we are not funded by the state, but by tuition fees. Therefore, studying at the European University of Applied Sciences (EU) costs more than at a public university. But it’s worth it: EU graduates meet the essential requirements of design majors, and this sets them apart from graduates of many public universities.

All costs are included in the monthly tuition.

No additional costs such as tuition fees, exam fees, bachelor thesis fees or the like will be incurred as long as the course is completed within the standard study period.

The costs of the semester abroad are not included in these fees, since there are substantial differences depending on the country and the university.

Admission requirements

Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for a bachelor’s program:

  • High school diploma or equivalent occupational diploma, incl. experience
  • Entrance exam
  • Personal interview
  • IELTS: overall band score of 5.5

There is no limit to the number of students that can be admitted (numerus clausus).
