Computer, video and mobile games are the medium of the future. Already today, more than 40 percent of Germans profess their love for them, and 90 percent of those people play them several times a week. Games mean entertainment and business, but they also reflect personal expression and global perspectives, and most of all, they are great fun. As a game designer, you will create innovative game mechanics and shape the narratives of the game. With your experience you will be involved in all stages of development: from the first idea to the technical and creative conceptualization and finally the design of spaces and characters.

We have identified artistic and cultural opportunities for computer games as a medium and will educate you with a view to practicing in the real industry. As the game designer or game developer of tomorrow, you will learn all the key processes in creating new games, starting with the first prototype of the game concept, through all the technical and creative decisions during game development, and the world and character design. Successful designers look outside the box and collaborate with people from other disciplines. At the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (EU), you will have the unique opportunity to put together your own individual combination of game design, programming and art, which means that you will become familiar with the individual disciplines as well as their mutual influences.

Our university focuses on your development. That is why we teach in small learning groups and in a friendly and personal environment. We will monitor your individual development process and help you define your talents and strengths, while helping you develop your own visual signature. You will be taught by renowned professors from the gaming industry and you will study in a central campus, equipped with the latest technology (game lab, virtual reality equipment, MacPools, etc.), and which is known for its international and speaking environment. Tuition and funding fees

As a private university, we are not funded by the state, but by tuition fees. Therefore, studying at the European University of Applied Sciences (EU) costs more than at a public university. But it’s worth it: EU graduates meet the essential requirements of design majors, and this sets them apart from graduates of many public universities.

All costs are included in the monthly tuition.

No additional costs such as tuition fees, exam fees, bachelor thesis fees or the like will be incurred as long as the course is completed within the standard study period.

The costs of the semester abroad are not included in these fees, since there are substantial differences depending on the country and the university.
