Program description

The Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences offers an integrated learning experience in an interdisciplinary setting, to produce graduates who are passionate about human health and medicine, and are equipped to undertake careers in the medical research or healthcare sectors. It has a strong focus on research and is taught by academics active in research in a wide range of disciplines spanning the biological and medical sciences. This course offers up-to-date and up-to-date knowledge in the field of biomedical, clinical, and public health sciences. Encourages students to foster their critical thinking and analytical study skills, enabling them to research, develop, and implement the innovative healthcare of the future.

Students take core modules in Years 1, 2, and 3, providing a solid foundation in the health and medical sciences. Program structure

Teaching runs Monday through Friday, with a combination of scheduled lectures, tutorials, and lab / practical sessions each week.

Students are assessed using a variety of formats to meet different learning styles. Assessments include essays, written reports, class tests, online exercises, practical demonstrations, laboratory skills, oral presentations, and written exams. Written exams take place before Christmas and in May.

The Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences is an interdisciplinary degree taught by experienced academic staff at the School of Medicine and Health and the School of Food Sciences, Engineering and Sciences. . The supervision of the main teaching and research project will be in charge of the active research academic staff of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Public Health, the Faculty of Biochemistry and Cell Biology and the Faculty of Microbiology, who specialize in the various areas of medical and health sciences.

Admission requirements

• Applicants must have completed a Baccalaureate degree with laboratory science subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Sciences.
• For international candidates, the foreign equivalent is required. In addition, an officially translated degree will be required.
• IELTS 6.5, with no less than 6 in any component (or its internationally recognized equivalent).
