MSc in Health Promotion and Social Care
The Master of Science / Postgraduate Diploma in Advancing Health & amp; Social Care aims to provide you with academic concepts, theories and skills to contribute to an agenda of change in your organization.
The modules will allow you to critically explore, evaluate, evaluate and improve your area of expertise and professional interest, with a final module, Research Thesis, which will allow you to complete research on a topic of relevance to your area of expertise.
Topics covered include: advanced research methods, worrying behaviors, contemporary legal and professional issues, and cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness.

The minimum entry requirements are a level 8 honors degree in a relevant discipline such as health and social care, nursing, early childhood care, social work, youth work, etc. Applicants may be required to conduct an interview. RPL will be considered in accordance with the LYIT Quality Assurance.
Applicants for this program must submit to Garda Vetting. For any program where Garda Vetting is required, applicants from outside the EU will not be considered unless / until the pool of qualified EU applicants has been exhausted. For those admitted to any course that requires Garda Vetting, registration is temporary until the research process is successfully completed.
Declaration of health
Applicants who wish to pursue this program must complete a Declaration of Health. Applicants must be deemed fit to practice to continue in the program.
The internship modules are an integral part of the course. The objective of the internship is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire skills, experience and competence. Please note that while the institute will make every effort to assist the student in finding a placement, the ultimate responsibility for securing the placement rests with the student. Travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the student.
Students will be required to complete mandatory training as described in the course syllabus. This is necessary before students go to the location.
