The purpose of the BA (Hons) in Business program is to provide students with the business skills that businesses, large and small, demand.

  • Students will learn about the ever-changing business environment and how it is influenced by political, legal, economic, social, and technological factors on a national and international scale.
  • Students will learn to recognize the key characteristics that govern a particular business and then identify the factors that are critical to its success in preparing for the corporate world.
  • Students will learn the importance of digital technology in the modern business environment and apply their knowledge to business problems with real-life customers.
  • You will create a real world business plan in your senior year and launch in a dragon’s den style environment.
  • You will be encouraged to participate in dynamic and creative areas such as entrepreneurship and digital communication and customer engagement.
  • Students have the flexibility to switch to BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance after Year One or BA (Hons) in Business (HRM) or BA (Hons) in Business (Marketing) after Year Two. < / li>

Career progression

Upon successful completion of their honors degree course, graduates may wish to continue their studies with a postgraduate degree at Griffith College or with one of the many tertiary institutions in Ireland or abroad.

Program structure

You will study a wide range of business subjects in the first and second year of the course. This acts as the perfect introduction to allowing you to select the senior year electives that interest you the most.

Students have four core modules in the third year and can choose four electives to tailor their learning in the final year (electives are offered on demand).

Admission requirements

If English is not your native language, you must show that your level of English is at an adequate level.

In response to the global closure of English language testing centers as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Griffith College now accepts the online Duolingo English Test (DET) as valid proof of English proficiency. This is a temporary measure for our income up to and including February 2022.
