Courses, internships, semester abroad

Marketing and media managers must cover a wide range of skills in their future profession. Thus, in addition to the core internal and external marketing and communication disciplines, the bachelor’s program teaches a broad spectrum of economic knowledge from the fields of business administration and media economics, micro and macroeconomics, accounting , the basics of statistics and business law. Students also learn methods of market research, writing press releases and creating usable content in media, from videos and photos to text and audio, as well as the corresponding management of content management systems.

In addition, students prepare for a managerial position; This includes lectures in the fields of business management, strategic planning, project management, and crisis communication, but also mediation techniques. In addition, students are trained so that they can accompany the digital transformation.

As virtual concepts are becoming more important in many industries, the latest virtual possibilities in the Virtual Reality study course allow students to design and carry out projects for content related to media and marketing.

Semester abroad

A semester abroad is an integral part of the fourth semester of studies. Thanks to our extensive network of universities with more than 40 partner universities, we offer students from all five continents the opportunity to spend a semester abroad. Within Europe, it is possible to participate in Erasmus +, with which students can obtain a monthly scholarship during their studies abroad.

Specialization and degree

In in-depth studies (the last two semesters), students independently choose the majors they tackle until graduation. These modules range from Entrepreneurship courses (creation of new companies) to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Moderation on Radio and TV.

According to the comprehensive contents of the course, graduates are offered a wide range of career opportunities when they begin their careers. Our courses of study are FIBAA accredited and therefore state recognized – graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) upon completion of their studies.

Excursions and practical projects

Unlike public universities, we place special emphasis on teaching all of our courses with a practical orientation. That is why both the Communications Management course parts and the Media Management course include various hands-on projects. All of our locations are equipped with the latest technology and offer students free access to the campus virtual reality lab, radio and television studio, and social media war room during their studies.

A variety of excursions, from visits to local companies, editorial offices, television stations and news agencies to joint trips to destinations abroad, are also part of the study program.

Last but not least, in addition to the regular interdisciplinary workshops for students, our locations offer many different events, from readings to informational events, exhibitions, and vernissages.

Tuition and funding fees

As a private university, we are not funded by the state, but by tuition fees. Therefore, studying at the European University of Applied Sciences (EU) costs more than at a public university. But it’s worth it: EU graduates meet the essential requirements of design majors, and this sets them apart from graduates of many public universities.

All costs are included in the monthly tuition.

No additional costs such as tuition fees, exam fees, bachelor thesis fees or the like will be incurred as long as the course is completed within the standard study period.

The costs of the semester abroad are not included in these fees, since there are substantial differences depending on the country and the university.

Admission requirements

Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for a bachelor’s program:
