Program structure

The global branding specialization within the MSc offers students a highly industry-focused, dynamic and hands-on course. Throughout the course, students will study many cases of global brand expansion and examine best practice methods by studying the successes and failures of global brands.

Students receive a strong foundation in current brand management theoretical concepts, marketing models, and tools, as well as new ways to analyze, evaluate, and develop brand strategies, campaigns, and ideas.

The workshops will focus on the skills of the global brand manager, including storyboarding, content production, global brand name development, logos and positioning, market selection, storytelling and channels of communication. marketing and measuring the effectiveness of those channels. Emphasis is placed on understanding global branding best practices through critical appraisal of cases and companies. A combination of the critical analytical approach along with a practical skills-based workshop approach will provide students with a 360-degree understanding of global branding in today’s changing digital landscape.

Upon successful completion of the taught modules, students do a dissertation with a volume of credits of 30 ECTS.

Admission requirements

Applicants must normally have an approved honors degree, at least at the H22 level, in a discipline related to marketing or business, or an equivalent qualification from an approved college or professional institution. Non-business graduates or candidates with substantial work experience may apply, but will be subject to an interview. Students who are not native English speakers will be required to provide proof of English language proficiency. A minimum score of IELTS 6.5, 575 TOEFL or equivalent is required.

In response to the worldwide closure of English Language Test Centers as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Griffith College is now accepting the online Duolingo English Test (DET) as valid proof of English proficiency. This is a temporary measure for our income up to and including February 2022.
