The goal of the Master of Marketing is to enhance your graduates’ prospects in the job markets and enable them to gain access to a variety of roles ranging from junior executives to senior marketing positions in a variety of organizations both nationally and internationally. The program is at Level 9 in the National Qualifications Framework and with the combination of the teaching and research stage, it provides added value for both students and employers. The program is academically challenging and strategically relevant in advanced marketing and will equip students with current knowledge and emerging theories that inform and comment on new marketing practices in the digital media arena.

Program structure

Subjects will be evaluated by continuous evaluation. Students participate in group projects, oral presentations, poster presentations, and real-life business case analyzes. Students will also be exposed to guest lecturers from leading Irish and multinational companies and participate in hands-on workshops with academics and practitioners.

Admission requirements

  • A level 8 undergraduate honors degree with a minimum Second Class Second Class (2.2) rating from a recognized tertiary institution in any discipline you want to specialize in the field of marketing, or
  • An equivalent professional qualification attributed to the marketing industry.
  • Applicants who are not rated Level 8 at award level 2.2 and have at least 3 years of work experience may also be considered through normal university RPL procedures.
  • The GMAT exam is a mandatory requirement for all applicants who do not have an honors degree (level 8) with a minimum second-class second-class ranking.
  • For international candidates, the foreign equivalent is required. In addition, an officially translated degree will be required.
  • IELTS 6.0, with no less than 6.0 in any component (or its internationally recognized equivalent).
