Established in 1972, the University of Limerick is an independent university with an international focus with more than 16,500 students and approximately 1,700 employees. It is a young, energetic and entrepreneurial university with a proud history of innovation in education and excellence in research and scholarships. The University offers programs in a wide range of disciplines, including arts, business, engineering and construction, health and medicine, information and communication technology, law, mathematics, and natural sciences. UL pioneered the concept of Cooperative Education in Ireland, placing more than 2,000 students in work placements annually, 30% of these as international placements. These valuable work experiences make UL graduates more employable, which is why the employment rate for UL graduates is 15% higher than the national average.

University of Limerick has student residences for the tastes and preferences of each of its students. You also have other options such as accommodation with a host family or independent accommodation (for someone else).
