Greystone College’s Diploma in Hospitality Sales and Marketing program provides students with the skills necessary to achieve their goals through topics such as market segmentation, market research, advertising, public relations, pricing, and revenue maximization. Students will be prepared for a variety of positions in the hospitality industry, such as a hotel marketing assistant, sales associate, public relations coordinator, and more.

Get an introduction to the organization and structure of hotels, restaurants, clubs, cruise ships and casino hotels, from a management perspective. Topics include: business ethics, franchising, management contracts, marketing and sales, and advertising.

Get a comprehensive introduction to hotel accounting concepts and procedures, hotel financial data processing, and the flow of financial information in the accounting cycle that results in the production of financial statements.

Learn to develop effective supervisory and management skills that are essential for success in the industry. Topics include how to recruit, select, and train; increase productivity; control labor costs; communicate effectively; manage conflicts and changes; and use time management techniques.

Find out how to build a world-class sales team with creative and successful sales and marketing programs that really work. This course shows how to sell rooms and food and beverage services to business and leisure travelers, travel agents, and meeting planners.

Hospitality is an industry of people, and this course shows how to manage the important human resources that provide services within a hospitality operation. Students will analyze contemporary issues and practices, as well as labor laws that impact the way people are managed.

In this course you will learn about the different income management tools available, as well as their uses. Students will also go over the different vital issues to consider before implementing revenue management tactics, and the consequences or benefits that subsequent use of revenue management may entail.

In this course, students will prepare to bring their new skills and knowledge to the job market. Students will focus on defining their future goals and career aspirations, and will learn how to write effective resumes and cover letters, interview basics, and what employers are looking for. Students will complete the course feeling prepared to find work in their new field.

Admission requirements

  • Students who are interested in attending Greystone College must have a high school diploma, GED, or mature student status.
  • International students will require a Bachelor’s degree from their country of origin. The degree and grades must be officially translated into English.
  • All applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate an intermediate level of English 4 with Greystone College’s online written and oral test.
  • All students must have their own device (tablet / phone / laptop) to access course materials through our Learning Management System (LMS).

Online written and oral test is exempt if TOEFL iBT 65, IELTS 5.5 or ILSC I4 is taken. If an applicant does not meet the minimum requirements, neither the institution nor the student can waive it.
